i. Someone else booked me a ride

Why did I get a notification for a ride I didn’t book?

If you received a text message that you have a ride with BoBo on the way, someone may have scheduled a ride for you. Follow the instructions in the text message to view your pickup details.

Types of rides that can be requested by others

You can have two types of trips requested for you:
  • Rides requested by an BoBo for Business organization
  • Rides booked by friends or family
Rides requested by an BoBo for Business organization

When an BoBo for Business organization requests a ride for you, you’ll receive either:
  • A text message to your mobile phone
  • An automated call to your mobile or landline phone number
  • An BoBo app notification
Rides booked by friends or family

A friend or family member can request a ride for you even if you are in a different location. If you don’t have a BoBo account, you’ll receive a message with instructions for your trip along with your driver and vehicle information.

If you have an BoBo account, you’ll receive an app notification with:
  • The driver’s details
  • The vehicle’s details
  • Real-time tracking for your ride
Can I cancel or edit a ride that’s been requested for me?

If you need to cancel or edit your trip, please contact the person who requested your ride.

How do I report a safety concern about my ride?

When drivers sign up to use the BoBo platform they agree to the Terms and Conditions, which prohibit unprofessional behavior, inappropriate physical contact, or verbal aggression.

Drivers also agree to operate vehicles safely at all times. If you experienced anything during your trip that made you feel unsafe, please select an issue below to let us know.

If you require immediate police or medical attention, or if you believe your driver is under the influence, please call 999. Once all parties are out of harm’s way and the necessary authorities have been contacted, please contact the customer services team to speak with a BoBo representative.

ii. Request a ride with multiple stops

Before a trip starts, if you are riding with multiple friends or families, you can request and split a ride with multiple stops.

To request a ride with multiple stops

1. Tap the [Where To?] box to request a ride
2. Tap [+] to add up to 5 stops
3. Tap [DONE] to continue

Please be noted to keep each stop under 3 minutes.

To split a ride fare

1. Swipe up from the bottom of the app
2. Tap [Split Fare]
3. Enter the names or phone numbers of the other riders

Everyone you invite is sent a notification request to accept your split fare. Please be noted that each rider will be charged a small fee (HK$2) to split the fare.

iii. How to request a ride / get a price estimate

To request a ride

1. Tap the [Where To?] box to request a ride
2. Enter your pickup and dropoff location
3. Swipe up to explore all vehicle options in your area
4. Select your desired vehicle option
5. Tap [Choose Vehicle Option] to continue
6. Move the pin and tap [Confirm Pickup]

Once a driver partner accepts your request, you'll see their location and their ETA on the map
